Apple Athletic Club Is Excited to be the facility to be chosen to have the SilverSneakers Fitness Program in this area. SilverSneakers Fitness Program is the nation's leading exercise program designed exclusively for the older adults. Members receive a basic fitness center membership at no cost. The program is typically offered to Medicare-eliglible members of a sponsoring health plan (Humana). There are 3 cards that are eligible: Humana Gold Choice, Humana Supplement, Secure Horizons of Idaho Choice PPO. Medicare-eligilble members are adults age 65 or older, or, in some cases, those of any age deemed disabled and recieving Medicare. Joint Effort: A movement and stretching class designed to inhance range and motion and increased flexibility. This class is for those with loss of mobility, arthritis, or any other injury or limitation. Taught by certified Arthritis Foundation Instructors. Classes are 50-60 minutes and taught in both indoor and outdoor pools. YogaStretch: YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to to increase flexbility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing and exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. MuscularStrength: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercise designed to increase muscular strength, range of moovement, and activity for daily living skils. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for se4ated and/or standing support. Cardio Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with Non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises. Orientations to our SilverSneakers program is every Tuesday after class at 11:30 a.m. Meet in Studia 2. |
