Apple Athletic Club's
1st grade & Combined 2nd / 3rd grade
Basketball Developmental League
Apple Athletic Club will again be sponsoring our 1st grade and combined 2nd & 3rd grade Developmental Basketball League. This league is both competitive as well as instructive. It is designed to create an atmosphere of learning through competition and correct fundamentals. Our referees are instructed to both make calls such as traveling, double dribble, fouls, etc. and then after doing so, they are to explain to the kids that which they did wrong. In this manner, the learning curve of these young players is greatly increased as they begin to understand how better to play the game. Area high school athletes will again act as our referees throughout the league. Most of these refs are members of one of the local boys or girls basketball teams and thus it makes it quite fun for the kids to be instructed by some of their idols and or role models.

Coach Ehardt coached at Brigham Young University, University of California at Santa Barbara, Washington State and served as Head Coach at Cal State Fullerton. In addition to the summer clinics, Apple Athletic Club sponsors Coach E's weekly basketball clinics in the fall.
