Personal Traning

"When Susie and I joined the Apple Athletic Club, I was hoping to lose a few poundshttp://www.appleathleticclub.com/use_images/Jantest_r2_c2.jpg and improve my strength and fitness.  It was handy and encouraging to have such a
well-equipped facility at my disposal and I made a bit of progress on my own. But I soon decided that a personal trainer would help me take better advantage of everything the Club had to offer.  So I signed up with Aaron and at our firstmeeting he assessed my fitness level (which was embarrassingly low) set some with realistic goals, and outlined a program to achieve them.  I was, and continued to be much impressed with his knowledge of exercise and nutrition, and most particularly his ability to develop a fitness program suited to my own personal needs and abilities. 

For instance, I travel quite a lot so he provided me with exercises I could use on the road to maintain the progress I made at the gym.  At my request he also showed
me exercises that focused on the muscle groups used in the golf swing.  The weight loss program he designed was simple, sensible, healthy and effective.  My initial
goal was to lose 20 pounds but ht came off so quickly and easily that Aaron suggested we revise it downward in order to get my percent body fat into the "fit" range. I've now reached that goal, losing a total of 45 pounds while moving my resting heart rate, blood pressure and biceps strength from "fair" or marginally fit into the "excellent" range.  I feel great and I can tell that the conditioning and the strength building have helped my golf game.  It's also wonderful to be able to wear clothes that have been in storage for years and to be able to looking the mirror and see a fit body rather then layers of flab.  At Aaron's urging, I've given away all of my "fat" clothes and I'm committed to making the fitness principles he's shown me a way of life.  Thanks Aaron, and Thanks Apple!"

"Stress has always ruled my life and weight. When my mom passed away last year, I knew that I needed to do something to keep myself busy or I would continue dealing with my emotions by overeating. I was 55 years old, 50 lbs overweight, tired, & bored but not ready to sit in a rocking chair. I called Brad at Apple Athletic Club and he asked me to come in and talk about the programs at the Club. After this meeting, we decided that a Personal Trainer would help me achieve my goals. Luckily for me, he signed me up with a great Personal Trainer, Steve Gardner. It is difficult to put into words how much I appreciate Steve. We have become friends and he is the best coach and cheerleader I have ever had. As I lost weight, Steve was just as excited as I was - sometimes more! He reviewed my food log weekly to make sure I followed a healthy diet. When I had a hard time completing an exercise, he would find a way to help me succeed. Steve helped me gain confidence in myself and I cannot believe how much my life has changed in the past (4) months. I have lost (57) lbs and I love going to the gym to exercise, visiting new friends to share our success stories, and living a lifestyle that makes me feel younger and more energetic. I never thought I could run, lift weights, do pushups, and love it at the same time! I have exceeded my goals with Steve's help and encouragement and I have learned that it is never too late to change a lifetime of bad habits. I am now in maintenance and this part of my journey is just as challenging. However, I know success is my only option because I have Steve at my side and together there is no challenge "we" cannot overcome!"

Stroller Bootcamp Fitness

"Stroller Bootcamp is one of the best things that has happened in my life.  I started the class when my second baby was 6 months old.  After four months of coming to the class I shed off 14 pounds.  Now I've been taking the class for almost 2 years and still have a healthy weight and I've been building muscle and toning my body.  The best part of all is that you can exercise with your kids and get to know wonderful moms and babies.  Thank you Melissa and Sheandi for offering moms the opportunity to get in shape and be healthy."

Pre School

"I wanted you to know how impressed I have been with my daughter's pre school experience.  They are coming home singing songs, showing off their work and excited to return again.  I am increasingly grateful to the extra effort that their teachers seem to take each and every day for them to have a new, positive experience with learning.  The girls enjoy practicing what they learn on the ‘homework' that is sent home each week.  I am so grateful to have found a place where I can trust that my girls are being taught in a caring and fun filled environment where games and reading are the norm.  Please pass my praise to all the ladies who make my girls experience a positive one.
