Goals & Mission Statement
To provide a safe environment where kids can come improve their health & love of fitness through fun & challenging activities.
Rules – Please Read
1. You must always sign in. If you, as the parent, want your kids to remain in the YAC until you return, then they must be old enough to understand that they are to remain in here.
2. There is a 2-hour time limit for basic use.
3. You must please remove your shoes.
3. You must participate in something while in here. Sometimes there will be group activities and you may also be asked to participate in that. Otherwise you may experience a “time out” or be asked to leave.
4. All balls, noodles, beanbags, etc. that are for the SPORT WALL are only to be used for the SPORT WALL, while one is actively engaged in the current on-going game or activity.
5. No food or drink. Special permission required.
6. You must be 7 years old to participate. However, age preference will be first given to those ages 8-14. We will then accommodate 7 year olds.
7. Currently not functioning: The Expresso bicycles are adult bikes and in order to ride, you must be able to comfortably reach the pedals. Riding the bike is subject to the discretion of the supervisor in attendance.
8. You may be asked to help clean up while in the YAC, though we will try to make it fun!!!
YAC Equipment & Interactive Games
Sport Walls: Designed for competitive games that are timed and can be varied based on number of participants. A variety or balls or noodles can be used as part of the competition.
Dance Revolution: The very game that has swept across the country in arcades. Participants dance to music while attempting to hit the corresponding spot on the dance pad as is being shown on the screen.
Motivatrix: Designed for many activities that will guide / teach you as you go with a virtual instructor.
Trazer: Forget EA SPORTS and “you’re in the game;” with the Trazer, you really are “in the game!”
Lightspace: This is a light board on the floor with a ton of games & options; kids try to stomp the bug, play dodge ball, lightening, & a ton of other options. This is so much fun that adults have asked to play!
Dodge Ball: Smaller space, smaller balls, but the idea is still the same!
Expresso Bikes: Designed for games or competitive races against another live rider, web rider or against your own best time. Please note: we are in the process of attempting to repair these bikes.
More Options: Other options & ideas no doubt to come…
