Women's Only weight loss classes starting up again! If you have wanted to try Apple's Beyond Fitness Weight Loss and Healthy Eating System, but a personal trainer wasn't in the budget, you're in luck. Starting March 16th Personal Trainer Lisa Morton will be offering a Women's only class. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday at 12 pm.
The classes include exercise sessions, lectures, our excellent Beyond Fitness Education set, and Microfit Fitness Testing for Body Fat, BMI and Waist to hip ratio. Participants will lose one to three pounds per week if they follow the program. Cost is $275 for the 8 week class. Come enjoy the motivation of a personal trainer and working in a small group. Why women's only weight loss class? Women tend to succeed when they are surrounded by other women who can relate to them. Through out the class, women will discover how to not only make themselves healthier, but their families too. Women are the care-takers of the family and they seldom take the time to care for themselves. This class will show women how to look and feel better about them and get the motivation from other women.
Why Lisa Morton? Lisa has been a personal trainer at Apple since 2008. She has experience in helping with the Ultimate Loser competition, and coaches the Women's only weight loss class. She understands women and acts as a coach and motivator for them. Her goal is to enrich the lives of all the women she works with.

3/5: We finished this week with the class that started in January. What an amazing group of women. We had big sucess on the scale with everyone. It was great to see that everyone loss fat and gained lean weight! Our biggest loser was Victoria with over 17 pounds lost! Great job! I will be continuing on with another 8 week session with one of the participants and some of her friends. The second part of the program focuses on more cardio endurance and weight training as well as continuing the record keeping. My next class starts on Tuesday March 16th at noon. I still have 5 slots available. Let know ASAP if you would like to join!
2/9: This week was a big one! We had our midpoint measurements that were a big success. The women are starting to notice a change in how their clothes fit. Those that haven't see much change on the scale, saw the biggest change in their body fat. Their body fat went down and their lean weight went up. Way to go! We finished our lectures and will be focusing more of our time to exercise. We started a new class this week with only 3 participants. I would like to have more in the class, so if you are interested, contact me today! We can take new participants for up to 1 week.
2/2: Today showed some great results! The ladies are learning that you must be completely accurate on your calorie numbers in order to match your predicted weight to your actual weight. The scale doesn't lie. You must measure everything and write everything down that goes in your mouth! We have mid point measurements coming up next week and we are looking forward to the results!
1/26: The ladies are doing very well this week. Their biggest challenge is getting all of their fruits and vegetables each day. The recommended daily servings is 5-9 fruits and vegetables combined. We have the Super Circuit perfected and are getting in more exercise each day. One of my ladies in the class that started in December was gone on a Mexican vacation for a week and she returned with a 2 pound weight loss! See it can be done and there is no reason to take a vacation from a healthy lifestyle!
1/19: We had our weigh in after the first week of class. Everyone is losing and happy with the results so far. We have started going over the healthy eating and it looks like everyone will benefit from these lectures. We are off to a great start and we will be starting the Super Circuit workouts this week. The Beyond Fitness II class that started in November completed this week. WOW! I can't believe how well everyone did. We now had ladies that were seditentary, running at least 2 miles a day. Our big success story is Louise who has lost over 35 pounds and is signed up to do her first marathon! Great job ladies!
1/11:Today we started the new year Beyond Fitness class. We had 5 participants join, all with goals to improve their health and appearance. I am very excited to see their results and see what they do! The other two classes will be coming to an end in the next couple of weeks. The ladies are still losing weight and I will post the overall numbers when we finish up.
1/5:We are back from the holidays and working hard. The holidays threw us some challenges, but we are now in the home stretch. Mid-point measurements for a success for some and brought frustration to others. I did have to remind the group that the aveage person gains 5-10 lbs over the holidays. Those in the class that did gain, only managed to gain 2 lbs. Pretty good if you ask me! I am starting a new class beginning Tuesday January 12 at 10:00 am. Spots are filling up fast. 12/17: Mid-point measurements are right around the corner. I can't wait to see what the ladies have done since before Thanksgiving. A light went on for our ladies going through part I of the class. Stimulus control is the only way you can succeed at weight loss. You have to identify your trigger foods, and eliminate them from your environment. This time of the year is hard with all of the trigger foods you will meet at parties. My best advice is that if you know that you will be going to a Christmas party where there will be lots of food, either plan your calories for the day so you won't over spend them, or eat before you go so you won't be tempted to over eat when you get there.
12/8: With the holidays approaching quickly, we are making new goals to succeed. Ladies in our Beyond Fitness II Class have set a goal of 10 pounds to lose before Christmas. Our ladies in the Beyond Fitness I class are learning about the 5 critical control factors and starting to get the circuit training down.
12/1: Today we started a new Beyond Fitness class. Debbie and Leslie are excited to get started. We only had 2 sign up for this class and I can take up to 5. So if you are intersted, you can still join! Contact me for more information. Our Beyond Fitness II class resumed after the holiday. Out of the three participants, Louiselis still going strong and loss 6 lbs over the last 3 weeks. Carolyn is down in weight after a week long road trip over the holiday. Kathy joined the group and I think she will do much better having the motivation of the others and being able to see what the others have overcome.
11/17: Today we started part II of the Beyond Fitness class. This part emphazies our workouts more on building up cardio and using more free weights. We are still doing our weekly weigh ins and tracking calories. We have 3 particiapants signed up and ready to go. We will be taking the week of Thanksgiving off from class, so we will be back to full force December 1st!
11/12: Today was our final day of class. We had our final measurements and team team did great! We had an overall weight loss of 44 pounds among 5 participants. Over biggest weight change was for Louise who loss over 18 pounds in 8 weeks. Three of the participants will be continuing with the second half of the program that emphasizes more free weight and cardio training. They will still have weekly weigh-ins and will be tracking their calories. We are excted to work through the holidays and see how much they lose in the next eight weeks.
11/2: We are in our last 2 weeks of our class and we are working hard for our goals. We have one participant who has reached the 15lb mark and is going for more. After last weeks weigh in, some were disappointed with the results, but they made up for it this week and are back on track. Everyone is down at least 5 lbs now and I can't wait to see how the results turn out!
10/20: Our class started September 22 with 5 participants. Each participant had a goal of at least 10 pounds to lose. We had our mid point evaluations on October 20th and as a group, the ladies have lost over 25 lbs in 4 weeks! Check back and see how they finish and if they will meet their goals.
