Fun, Play and Competition
Individual Play
Members of Apple Athletic Club can book a court for any open
time two days prior to the scheduled time by calling the facility's main number
at (208) 529-0300. There is a court fee charge to be divided by the players on
court. It is assumed that everybody using the court at the scheduled time is a
member of Apple Athletic Club. There is a court fee charge to be divided by the
players on court. For 2009 the prime season (Labor Day through Memorial Day)
court fee is $18.00 plus tax while the off season (Memorial Day through Labor
Day) is $14.00 plus tax.
Player Matching
The staff at the tennis facility takes great pride in
providing excellent service. If you are new to the area or returning to the
sport after an absence we offer player matching either by contacting
like-skilled players for you to play or by enrolling you in one of our many
leagues.
Club Leagues
We offer an extensive league program throughout the year
with the majority of league play comprising the time between early September
and late April. League fees generally are in line with court fees and are due
at the beginning of each league session. Sessions run from four to seven weeks
each, depending on the surrounding dates and events such as club tournaments or
major holidays. There is no limitation regarding the number of league times a
player may sign up for. In the interest of compatible play we use the United
States Tennis Association's (USTA) National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) to
determine the appropriate league schedule for our members.
Club TournamentsApple Athletic Club organizes a spring and club fall tournament open to adults and juniors, usually in February and October. The club further sponsors two adult USTA sanctioned events in late April and the Thanksgiving weekend as well. The Thanksgiving tournament offers prize money in every division and is generously sponsored by Ron Sayer BMW. Furthermore, there are a number of USTA sanctioned junior events every year - several of them during the summer months.

In addition, we make an effort to provide other competitive
experiences such as a regular semi-annual exchange with Juniper Hills Country
Club (Pocatello)
and exchanges with other clubs. In conjunction with the Idaho Falls Community
Tennis Association we host events such as a Mother/Daughter, Father/Son
tournament or a one-day singles or doubles shoot-out.
Special Events & Parties
Tennis at Apple is supposed to be fun. Numerous times
throughout the year one-day events or parties are held to allow the members to
mingle, bring friends and just have a
good time - that involves tennis. Often times the Idaho Falls Community
Tennis Association will either host or co-host an event. The combined efforts
of Apple Athletic Club with the IFCTA have brought unprecedented growth to the
greater Idaho Falls
tennis community. These efforts have been lauded at the state, regional and
national level of the USTA.
