Indoor Cycling


Name Change

Due to Apple Athletic Club investing in higher quality bikes, we are no longer allowed to use the trademark "Spinning" name. Our spinning classes will now be called "indoor Cycling."
We will still continue to offer the same great cycling classes with our world class instructors, but we will offer a better experience with Kaiser bikes.
We are committed to ongoing education workshops with our instructors to bring you the latest innovations in indoor cycling. We are committed to excellence.
Interested in taking an indoor cycling class? When you come in for class, be sure to let the fmember service desk know so you get your indoor cycling class pass for the specific class you are taking that day.

Indoor Cycling Class Descriptions:

  • Strength - The Strength training sessions involes steady, consistent pedaling with heavy resistance. Strength rides promote muscular and cardiovascular development that will enable one to feel like a strong and powerful climber. Heart rate training range: 75-85% of maximum heart rate.
  • Interval - Interval training sessions emphasizes regular work efforts with recovery time between challenging terrain. Heart rate training range : 65 - 92% of maximum heart rate.
  • Race Day - A Race Day training session resembles a "time-trial" race against the clock. This Energy Zone ride was created to give riders the opportunity to measure the progress of their fitness gained from training in the other Energy Zones. Heart rate training range: 80 - 92% of maxium heart rate.
  • Endurance - An Endurance training session trains the body to be more effiecient at metabolizing fat. An Endurance training challenge the body physically and mentally as the rider adapts to holding a steady positition and steady heart rate for extended periods. Heart Rate Training Range: 65 - 75% of maximum heart rate.
