7/31 STOTT PILATES online scheduling now available!
Have you wanted to try STOTT PILATES at Apple Athletic Club, but didn't know who to talk to, where to go, or what to do? Now is the time to check it out!

Simply start at STOTT PILATES MindBody Scheduling. Two Free Trial Classes are offered to everyone, whether a member of Apple or not. You will be directed to our full schedule of Free Trial and Unlimited Pilates classes.  During the Free Trial class you will lean the five basic principles of STOTT PILATES.  Regardless of if you ever take another Pilates class again, these five principles will also improve your personal workout. In addition, you will be introduced to the weight resistance on the STOTT Reformer and deep core training on the mat.

01/25-  We're starting the New Year right- updating our fitness goals and pursuing weight loss!  Pilates can definately be a jumpstart to your fitness program and give you endurance and energy, besides melt inches away fast!  However, even STOTT PILATES recommends including a well balanced nutritional  and cardiovascular program to ensure progress toward your goals.

The average person needs 3-4 days a week of cardio, 30-60 minutes a day, or more for weight loss.  Food intake, staying withing your appropriate calorie range (i.e. average 11 calories x body weight for woman, and 12 calories per lb of body weight for a man), will allow notice progress in your body from your pilates workouts, and prevent your from fighting against future pounds and inches. 

Treat yourself better this year!  Take the time to pursue a complete fitness regimen which will allow you to achieve your goals!! Elena

This week in Elena's classes we have incorportated circuit training, or a exercises from all pieces of equipment to stimulate particular muscles in different ways. Audra is doing a step up on the chair to encourage proper posture using the glutes and the abdominals, in persons who normally overuse their lower backs. Elena
